Company Profile

Recruitment consultants have mixed images. Some people use them because they think they have no other choice… a rather negative view! Others use them in preference to any other option - realising that they are a cost effective, efficient method of recruiting quality staff.

It is Gray's key objective to not only continue to impress and satisfy existing clients but to persuade, through convincing evidence, that recruitment consultancies do offer a unique service should be taken advantage of by everybody involved in travel recruitment.

Gray's client list includes many of the companies listed in the Top 100… their commitment to confidentiality stops from naming names but they are very proud to have been involved with these organisations and to have contributed to their success - after all, few would argue that the quality of staff you employ are fundamental to the success of any business.

Gray's policy in recruitment is to be selective - they will not bombard their clients with a long list of applicants if their CVs and profiles do not match the client brief. Back to the brief… they ask questions about the company and the people in it - they gather as much information as possible to ensure that they get the right match. This process does not always mean they are the quickest but it does mean they are amongst the best - the candidates you get to look at will all be right for the role - Gray work hard to ensure they do not waste your valuable time.

Gray's experience is extensive. Their team has more years experience than they care to mention! They have seen changes in the travel industry and adapted their services to keep abreast of those changes. Gray's is a highly flexible and adaptable service and not only for recruitment. Their involvement in travel consultancy, mergers and acquisitions gives Gray a unique insight into the industry that no other recruitment consultants can match.

Sheila Gray set up Gray International in 1990 after a long and successful career in personnel and recruitment. "I still get a buzz when I get it right first time" says Sheila. "Understanding the different cultures of companies and matching their needs is the key to successful recruitment". Over the years Sheila has been involved in various special projects from finding finance to setting up an operation from scratch. "When you start work in the morning you're never sure what they day will bring - recruitment takes you into so many areas of the business" says Sheila.

Big is not always beautiful. Gray is, on the surface, a small operation but they believe that you do not have to be big to be professional and effective. You will always be looked after by experienced, senior staff who know your business and your needs. Other large organisations may boast huge teams but how much experience do they have? Have the consultants worked in the industry? Do they really match the right people to your organisation? Do you really want to be put onto a difference account manager every time you call for help?
